Short privacy note
The service reads your request IP so it can show your public IP back to you.
We do not place ads on the IP check page. The website uses Vercel Analytics and a local metrics helper for page path, referrer host, source label, first-visit/session markers, button-event labels, destination type, internal link path, and outbound host. It does not send raw clicked URLs or page content. The Chrome extension stores its saved network check on your device with Chrome storage.
The JSON endpoint can return the public IP, IP version, approximate city, region, country, timezone, provider, ASN, and approximate latitude/longitude. It uses request headers first and server-side IP lookup providers for clearer network details.
When you open the extension, press refresh, or turn on change watching, IP Watch calls https://ip.getgeofix.xyz/json. If watching is on, it checks on the interval you choose. That endpoint receives the request IP so it can return it.
If coordinates are available, the page shows an OpenStreetMap frame and a full map link. The location is approximate and may point to your provider, VPN, office, or carrier network.
Server logs may exist for security, abuse prevention, and basic hosting operations. We do not sell IP lookups.
